Privacy Policy

Jofinds Realty respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. What we collect

• What you give us: your name, email, phone number, preferred viewing time, and any notes you send through our contact form, booking form, or in-website chat.
• What we observe: which pages you visit, when, and roughly where you came from (e.g. Google, Instagram, direct). We store a random device ID in your browser's local storage so the chat widget can resume your conversation and so we can count unique visitors — this is not tied to your identity.
• Cookies & storage: we use local storage (not traditional cookies) for the visitor ID and to keep your chat session alive across refreshes. Google Analytics may set its own cookies if you have not opted out at the browser level.

2. Why we collect it

• To reply to your enquiry or confirm a viewing.
• To provide the service you asked for (rental, short-stay booking, property management).
• To improve the site — which pages are useful, which need work.
• To protect the platform (rate limiting, blocking abuse).

3. Who we share it with

We use a small set of trusted third-party providers to run the site. Your information may be processed by:

• Google Firebase — authentication, database, hosting (data stored on Google infrastructure).
• Google Analytics — aggregated site usage.
• Cloudinary — image and video storage for property listings.
• EmailJS — routing booking and contact emails to our inbox.
• WhatsApp / Meta— when you tap a WhatsApp button, the conversation moves to WhatsApp under Meta's terms.

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising outside Jofinds.

4. How long we keep it

• Bookings and contact messages: kept indefinitely in our admin dashboard so we have a record of what was agreed.
• Chat sessions: kept indefinitely so your conversation with us has continuity. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.
• Pageview logs: rolling — we don't need individual page hits beyond 90 days.

5. Your rights

You can ask us to show you what data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Contact jofindsrealty@gmail.com and we'll respond within a working week.

6. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Access to the admin dashboard is restricted by email + password + a Firestore admin allow-list. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information you share.

7. Children

The site is not aimed at children under 18. If you believe a child has shared personal information with us, contact us and we'll delete it.

8. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the “last updated” date at the top and, where reasonable, note the change on our home page.

This policy is a reasonable starting template. Jofinds should have a Ghanaian lawyer review it before major growth or before entering markets with stricter data-protection regimes (e.g. UK/EU customers under GDPR).
